Review Articles
Current Genetics is keen to provide readers with a wide and topical view on new developments within the genetics and molecular biology of eukaryotic organisms (with an amphasis on lower eukaryotes and organelles).
In this context we strive for publication of review articles on specific subjects and recent developments. Such articles can be comprehensive (up to 20 printed pages) or more focused to highlight new developments or point to new directions (e.g. 5-10 printed pages).
An important aspect of review articles are appropriate illustrations.
Manuscripts will be peer-reviewed.
Review articles are commonly invited by the Editorial Office or by an Editor. However, we very much welcome suggestions for reviews. Please send an outline of your ideas together with a brief statement why you feel that this field would profit from the review and a possible manuscript submission date to the chief editor.
For truly comprehensive treatments of the genetics, genomics and molecular and cellular biology we refer to the review series Topics in Current Genetics.
